Advita Patel is a trailblazing business communications consultant, specialising in internal communications and employee experience. As the founder of CommsRebel, she leads a consultancy dedicated to creating thriving, inclusive cultures. She’s also the co-founder of A Leader Like Me, an international agency helping organisations drive change through inclusive communication, leadership support, and employee experience strategies.

In 2021, Advita co-founded Calm Edged Rebels, a transformative membership and coaching platform designed to empower individuals to live their best lives.

Advita’s journey in communications almost took a different turn in 2018 when a crisis of confidence made her consider leaving the industry. Determined to overcome, she delved into confidence research, transforming her life in just 12 months. Drawing on over 15 years of coaching experience, she transitioned into a dedicated confidence and leadership coach, guiding professionals to unlock their full potential with actionable, results-driven coaching.

In 2023, Advita co-authored Building a Culture of Inclusivity, an award-winning bestseller with Priya Bates. The book has since become a go-to guide for leaders aspiring to foster inclusive cultures where everyone thrives.

As an award-winning podcaster and international speaker, Advita covers topics from confidence and leadership to inclusion and communications.

Passionate about empowering the next generation, Advita launched Asian Comms Network in 2024, a social enterprise supporting Asian professionals in PR, communications, marketing, and journalism. And in 2025, she will make history as the first South Asian woman President of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, shaping the future of the industry.

She’s currently in the process of writing her second book which will focus predominantly on confidence in the workplace.

I started working with Advita when I got a promotion at work that I wasn’t convinced I was capable of doing. Imposter Syndrome was raging, and I was scared of the idea of being seen as a leader. In my first session, I made it clear to Advita that I was not talking to her about ‘progression’ or ‘next steps’ at all. I was there to get more confident in my role. Advita recently led a brilliantly impactful half-day workshop for community volunteers involved in Big Local projects. We wanted people to feel more confident about having challenging discussions and making good decisions together. Advita put together a practical workshop that was tailored to the community settings people are working in and considered different learning styles. Attendees came away with a really useful set of tools and examples, plus experience of putting them into practice in small groups. Her facilitation was engaging and sensitive and she had great feedback from participants.
